Lead the way with digital textile printing.

Digital Textile Printing is revolutionizing the textile industry worldwide. Traditionally textile printing has been based on a mass production model where fabrics are produced by rotary screen printing in large volumes. The benefit of this method was high volume product at a low price. However there are many disadvantages to traditional textile printing. These are high setup costs, lengthy and expensive sampling process, slow turn around, limited number of spot colors per design and short runs

Digital Textile printing is the key to opening new markets. It does not have any of the disadvantages of Traditional Textile printing while offering the ability to use an unlimited number of colour's, excellent reproduction of continuous tone images, unlimited repeat sizes and the ability to print multiple designs.

What is sublimation?
The term sublimation is used to describe heat-activated inks that change into a gas when heated and have the ability to bond with polyester or acrylic surfaces. Sublimated images are extremely resistant because the image is protected within the surface.

Digital and Screenprint

Screenprinting with sublimation ink is not new. What is new to the printing world, is the ability to digitally print sublimation inks rather that screen-printing them. This gives the design a greater choice in color and design.

How does sublimation work?

Sublimation uses a patented heat transfer process that employs special heat sensitive inks permanently dye polymer surfaces.

How is sublimation different from transfer papers?
Heat transfers created with colour laser use a coated 'plastic' paper to fuse ordinary ink onto the surface of a substrate. The result is a "decal-like" transfer that can peel, crack, fade, and discolour over time. Sublimation transfers instead rely on special inks to transfer the image directly into the surface of a substrate. The result is a "tattoo-like" transfer that will not peel, crack, or fade and lasts for many years.

How is a sublimation transfer different from direct printing?
'Direct printing' is an alternative category that includes a variety of ways to digitally print on textiles. Direct printing involves printing directly to a coated fabric. A common misconception is that this is a more efficient process than sublimation, but both methods require finishing. The finishing process for direct printing includes both steaming and washing. Coated fabrics for direct printing more expensive and easily wasted. Sublimation transfers offer a level of colour, richness, vibrancy and permanency that direct printing cannot achieve.

Screen Printing - Dispersed Dye

Keep your costs down with an automated flat bed printer. Ideal for spot colors, half tones and 4 color process (4cp - viewed from a distance). Great for high volume promotional fabric needs. Colors are vibrant and may be customized to meet your needs and those of your customer. It's called dispersed dye, using screens and then heat setting and the fabric to lock in the dye so you always have a soft hand and good color penetration on the reverse unlike the inks of the market that sit on the surface only. To get a quote on this we need to know the size you require, the number of colors in the artwork and the finishing. Available in a number of different fabrics. It also helps us if you know how the product is being used so that we can give you suggestions, when you need them, to help satisfy your customer. Our aim is to meet your needs with price and delivery.
